Welcome to Computational Biology

Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, Dynamical Systems in Biology and Genomics are four fields within biology that utilize the technological advances in computers and in new biological techniques to understand life. These fields are each providing a massive amount of data. For more on the type of work in these fields see here.

Computational biology is interdisciplinary, combining aspects of biology, mathematics and information technology. This program is designed to give students the ability to use computers to manipulate large amounts of data and to transform raw data into knowledge. The course program is described here.
