THE PROJECT A fully-funded PhD studentship (tuition waiver, stipend, and research & training budget) is available at the University of Aberdeen, with Dr Catherine Sheard as lead supervisor. The project, 'Trait-based drivers of the ornamental plant trade', combines macroevolutionary methods, global databases of plant traits, and cultural evolution techniques to understand the forces shaping temporal, spatial, and taxonomic variation in the household plant trade. The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is a 'CASE partner', facilitating further opportunities for collaboration and skill development.
