Hello everyone, We are looking for a motivated candidate to apply for the following PhD position: "Development and deployment of innovative environmental genomics approaches for monitoring plant diversity in the Amazon rainforest", based at the University of Guyane (Cayenne, French Guiana). This is an ambitious, multidisciplinary project combining genomics, fieldwork, and bioinformatics. The research will be carried out in close collaboration with the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Peru. The goal of the project is to develop an environmental DNA (eDNA) method that will enable Amazonian countries to monitor their plant biodiversity over the long term.
