Doctoral Researcher / Project researcher in Experimental Evolution of Host-Microbiota Interactions The Faculty of Science at the University of Turku invites applications for a doctoral researcher / project researcher position at the Department of Biology. The position is fully funded 4-years. Employment begins 1.10.2025, or upon agreement. The researcher will participate in project "Host-microbiota coevolution under fluctuating temperatures", which investigates how climate change-driven temperature fluctuations influence the evolution of host-microbiota interactions using a Drosophila model system. The researcher will focus on: Experimental evolution of bacteria Microbiota transplantation experiments Molecular and metabolomic analyses Participation in maintaining and phenotyping Drosophila flies.
