Position description The Department of Integrative Biology (IB) at the University of California, Berkeley (UCB) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position in the area of global change biology with emphasis on the Ecology and Evolution of Host-Microbe Interactions. The potential start date is July 1, 2025. The Department of Integrative Biology at the University of California, Berkeley seeks candidates working on the ecological and/or evolutionary dynamics of host-microbe interactions in the context of global change. Researchers working on any aspect of the ecology and/or evolution of host-microbe interactions including pathogens/parasites, microbiomes and mutualisms are encouraged to apply. We seek a colleague who uses any combination of laboratory, fieldwork or theoretical approaches. Candidates will be expected to have a strong interest in both undergraduate and graduate teaching and to contribute to instruction in core courses in ecology, evolution, microbial interactions and/or global change.
