We seek applicants whose research programs use mathematical, computational, and/or quantitative approaches to address important topics in evolutionary biology. The successful candidate is expected to establish an externally funded research program and contribute to teaching and research mentoring at undergraduate and graduate levels. The Department of Biology is a collegial, multidisciplinary department which affords opportunities for intellectual interactions across diverse research disciplines, with particular strengths in genetics and evolution. The University of Rochester offers strong institutional support, including state of the art computing infrastructure, and a rich environment for interactions beyond our department, including the Goergen Institute for Data Science and the University of Rochester Medical Center.
