Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology/Department of Biology, Dalhousie University, Halifax, N.S., Canada Position Overview We invite applications for a Postdoctoral position working jointly in the laboratories of Dr. Erin Bertrand, Dr. Alastair Simpson and Dr. Andrew J. Roger to develop novel methods to investigate a unique protist-bacterial symbiosis. These methods are expected to include but are not limited to culture and sample preparation optimization for mass spectrometry-based metabolite profiling of host-symbiont interactions. Flexibility in working hours and willingness/interest in traveling to collaborators' laboratories is desired. Qualifications / Requirements: 1. Ph.D. degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or related area required. 2. Significant research experience in cultivation of microorganisms and/or mass spectrometry-based methods to investigate metabolism and/or cell biology of non-model system microbes. 3.
