The Anderson lab (https://anderson-lab.com) at the National Animal Disease Center (USDA-ARS) seeks candidates for an ORISE Postdoctoral Fellow position. The project will explore the evolutionary dynamics of influenza A virus (IAV) in swine and dairy cattle. The participant will use a range of phylogenetic methods to study how interspecies transmission, genomic reassortment, and farm production practices affect the ecology and evolution of endemic viruses and the emergence of novel influenza viruses with zoonotic potential. Position details: The fellowship includes a monthly stipend, medical and dental insurance, and support for professional development. Full details are available at https://www.zintellect.com/Opportunity/Details/USDA-ARS-MWA-2024-0349 The position will be located at the National Centers for Animal Health campus in Ames, Iowa.
