I'm hiring a postdoc to research statistical phylogenetic models and methods. Together, we’ll define the exact project(s) based on shared research interests and goals. Current topics my group studies include phylogenetic inference, divergence time estimation, historical biogeography, evolution of ecological interactions, integration of paleodata into phylogenetic models, phylodynamics of infectious disease, and Bayesian and deep learning methods. Our group (https://landislab.org) is part of the Department of Biology at Washington University in St. Louis and the larger St. Louis biodiversity research community (WUSTL, UMSL, SLU, Danforth Plant Science Center, MOBOT, St. Louis Zoo). St. Louis itself is a large metropolitan area with good food, music, public spaces, and affordable housing.
